Yes I also agree, that when we try to save ourselves from pain, we also block ourselves from joy. We were easily able to become happy when we were young, as we were not that much judgement as we are now. We just don't need to take things that must seriously that we have to sacrifice our happiness.🫠
This literally explains to my brain why all of my comfort shows are nostalgia shows and nothing recent. Right now it's As Told By Ginger. I'm doing my best to reclaim joy as an adult ❣️
